I'm participating in the Muse Challenge #123 today. My online stamping crush, Joan Bardee, is the Muse. I met Joan a few years ago at a PTI Stamp A Faire event that I drove to down in Virginia. She was super nice that day, and I have followed her blog since.
From her blog, I think Joan is fun, funny, and very creative. She doesn't seem to take this industry too seriously. Instead of pushing products, she is honest about what she likes and uses. It's a great perspective that I sincerely appreciate. I also love that she includes what her husband thinks about the cards she makes. His responses just make me laugh. Basically we are BFF, even though she doesn't know it...
Here is Joan's card for the Muse Challenge
And my card:
I am kicking myself for not having some pinking scissors around here somewhere... Must remedy that soon.
I used the black and white background, with a red focal point. I used the PTI Uncorked set.
Joan, thanks for the inspiration! Thank you everyone else for looking.
awww Deena, you are so sweet!! Thanks so much for making such a rocking card inspired by mine. Love that color combo. Just asked my husband what he thought of your card and he liked it except "the green part on the bottom. that looks weird." I had to explain that was just holding up the card, and not part of it. then he really liked your card! DUH!

What a clever design - I love how you split the bottle for the sentiment! So glad you joined us at Muse this week!
